Account Verification (KYC) Guide
KYC — Know Your Customer — is a regulatory requirement for licensed online gambling platforms worldwide. At wak89, completing KYC protects you against fraud, prevents unauthorised access to your account, and ensures withdrawals go to the correct person.
Malaysian players will typically need a government-issued photo ID and a proof of current address. The process is simple, and most accounts are verified within 24–48 hours.
Documents you will typically need:
- Valid Malaysian IC (MyKad) — front & back
- Driver's Licence or Passport (if MyKad unavailable)
- Proof of address — utility bill or bank statement dated within 3 months
- Clear selfie holding your ID (some verifications may require this)
Step-by-Step Verification Process
Log In and Go to Account Settings
After logging into your wak89 account, navigate to "My Profile" then select "Verify My Account" or "Identity Verification" from the menu.
Upload Your Identification Document
Take a clear photograph or scan of your MyKad (both sides), driver's licence, or passport. Ensure all four corners are visible and details are fully legible — no blur, glare, or shadow.
Submit Proof of Address
Upload a utility bill (Tenaga Nasional, Syabas, or Indah Water), a bank statement from Maybank, CIMB, or Public Bank, or an official letter showing your full name and current address — issued within the last 3 months.
Await Confirmation
Our compliance team reviews your documents and sends a confirmation to your registered email. Standard processing time is 24–48 hours. Expedited review is available for Gold-tier members and above.
Security Notes — Please Read
- Only upload documents through the official wak89 website. Always confirm the URL begins with https://wak89.cam before uploading.
- Where possible, cover the last few digits of your IC number when photographing your document for initial submission — our system only needs to confirm identity, not every digit.
- Never send copies of your personal documents via WhatsApp, Telegram, or any other unsecured messaging platform. wak89 will never ask you to do this.
Cryptocurrency Deposits Welcomed + Local Payments
Deposit and withdraw using the methods you already use every day — or go crypto for added privacy.

Your Privacy Matters — Data Protection Notice
wak89 is committed to protecting your personal information. We collect only the data necessary to operate your account, process transactions, and comply with applicable regulations — including KYC and anti-money-laundering requirements. Your data is never sold to third parties. All information is stored on encrypted servers and handled in accordance with our full Privacy Policy. Play Responsibly — 21+ Only
Gambling should always be an enjoyable leisure activity, not a financial strategy. wak89 is strictly for players aged 21 and above. If you feel your gambling habits are becoming harmful — to yourself or your family — please visit our Responsible Gambling page for self-exclusion tools, deposit limits, and support resources available to Malaysian players. The National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) and local helplines are accessible at no cost.
